over the last ten years, i’ve had multiple opportunities to be able to express myself by writing and taking photos. with the internet playing such an integral part in me growing up as well, i’ve spent a lot of time online, getting absorbed in various realms of content. one thing i noticed over time though was that there wasn’t one website in particular i’d come back to time and time again.
last week i was watching an episode of chef’s table. the episode was focusing on nancy silverton. although the entire episode was captivating, one thing she said in particular stood out to me.
“i just wanted to open a restaurant that i wished existed and it didn’t.”
it hit me like a ton of bricks. after scouring high and low for inspiration, i realized there were other people who probably felt the same way as me.
why shouldn’t i seek out people, places, and things that interested me and share my experiences with others? why wouldn’t i keep my eyes open to what was going on in the world around me, in hopes to learn, and teach along the way?
it would be foolish to not take advantage of the knowledge and opportunities that are in front of me, and even more so not to write them down or photograph them.
so without further ado, welcome to lost in reverie. my goal is to curate a website that brings positivity, wisdom, and reverie into your life.
