How We Got Here

Last week I was watching an episode of Chef’s Table. The episode was focusing on Nancy Silverton. Although the entire episode was captivating, one thing she said in particular stood out to me:

“I just wanted to open a restaurant that I wished existed and it didn’t.”

It hit me like a ton of bricks.

After scouring high and low for inspiration, I realized there were other people who probably felt the same way as me.

Why shouldn’t I seek out people, places, and things that interested me and share my experiences? Why wouldn’t I keep my eyes open to what was going on in the world around me, in hopes to learn, and teach along the way?
